Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers 09

Two members of the Hibiscus Coast Floral Group, visited Toowoomba in Queensland, Australia where the Diamond Anniversary of the annual Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers held during September was being celebrated.

This is one of the longest running Horticultural events in Australia and this year as part of the International Component of the show Marie Unkovich and Sandra Wright were invited to recreate the gold medal winning design ‘Madam Butterfly’ which they had exhibited at the Chelsea Flower Show in London in 2007.

Marie and Sandra were also invited to participate in the Changing Blooms Exhibition as well as the Ready, Steady, Snip competition at Toowoomba.

Marie Unkovich won the Ready Steady Snip, competition and she is shown with her design in the photo below.
