Geraldine Floral Art Group Designer of the Year 2009

In September members of the Geraldine Floral Art Group, competed for the Ruby Divers Memorial Trophy, at their Designer of the Year Competition. The judge was Helen Spencer a member of the Te Ngawai Floral Art Group.

The display, open over two days, was enjoyed by the public and members from other South Canterbury Floral Art Groups. A local kindergarten teacher brought her pupils to visit and they in turn brought their parents back to see the ‘pretty flowers’. This was a new way to promote floral art!

The overall title was ‘Come Dancing’ and each designer chose a subtitle for her entry.
