Mt Roskill Floral Art Club Celebrating 60 Years
On a beautiful Autumn day in April, 2021, a wonderful collection of members, past members and invited guests joined together to celebrate the Club’s 60th Anniversary. We met at The Bistro in Cornwall Park Auckland, which was a glorious setting for our celebrations and our delicious High Tea.
A magnificent cake was created by members, Florinda Pereira and Phyllis Brown. Two club members of long standing, Bev Burton and Nola Idoine, were invited to cut the cake along with President Olwyn Bertram-Ellison.
Two new life members, Geraldine Bathurst and Kay Jones, were presented with their Life Membership badges, and at the end of the proceedings we were entertained by unexpected guests Mrs Daisy Bashup and friend Mildred with a demonstration of floral design with a difference (the cause of much hilarity).
It was such a wonderful day … all for the love of flowers and floral design.
